Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was a good size for a small double and had everything we needed, though the lack of a mini-bar made keeping refreshments cold a bit challenging. The staff members gave conflicting information about the check-in time, which was a slight confusion. The service was exceptional, with friendly and bubbly staff members who went above and beyond, especially in the pool area. The location was sublime, offering a short walk to the village with all amenities, but it felt crammed at times. The dining experience had some issues, particularly with uncooked sausages and hard hash browns, and it would benefit from more staff. Overall, it was a good stay with minor inconveniences.
My room was in a dark corner of the hotel and lacked ventilation, making it very warm even with the radiators turned back. However, it was sparkling clean and had a beautiful terrace with a lake view. The room felt dated for the price, and there were disturbances like poor shower quality, drilling, and maintenance noise early in the morning outside my room.
I had an amazing stay at the hotel! The room was just out of this world, especially the Bowness suite with a hot tub. The service was top-notch, with Lesley and the bar staff going above and beyond for us. The location was superb, close to everything you need, and the dining experience, especially breakfast, was a highlight. However, there were some odd aspects regarding included dining options. Overall, a fantastic experience.
The hotel had some positives like a nice spa facility but lacked in areas like room comfort and cleanliness. The rooms were smaller than expected with poor hygiene standards, making the stay uncomfortable. Despite friendly service, the inability to relax fully due to loud music and lack of lounge beds in the spa was disappointing.
I had an amazing stay at this hotel and can't wait to come back. The rooms were much smaller than expected but still comfortable, and I especially appreciated the flushed toilets. The service was top-notch, despite some encounters with rude staff. The location was brilliant overall, though a bit crammed in some areas. The dining experience was basic with limited vegetarian choices, but the buffet was pretty good. The facilities were decent, and I enjoyed my time there.
The hotel offers a picturesque location with beautiful views of Bowness and convenient access to the marina. The rooms lack AC or a fan, making it challenging to cool down at night. The staff are lovely and welcoming, but at times, they may seem overwhelmed. The dining experience, while okay, can be improved with a more varied selection. The hotel's amenities are well-maintained, providing a satisfactory stay overall.
The hotel was a bit basic for the price, offering split floor apartments with tiny bedrooms. The views were good, but the overall space felt cramped and claustrophobic.
The hotel is set in a lovely location with beautiful surroundings, providing a breathtaking view of Lake Windermere. The rooms, particularly the tree top suite, offer a unique experience but may require a stroll through the hotel in robe and slippers. Service is top-notch, especially from the accommodating young male staff member Oualid, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The proximity to the town center of Bowness is a major plus. However, the dining experience was not up to par with limited options and self-service setups. Overall, a fantastic location with great service but with some room for improvement in dining options.
The hotel was not quite the five-star experience I expected. The rooms had some issues like thin walls and noise disruptions, but they were clean and in a good location. The hot tub was a standout feature. Service was exceptional throughout, rectifying any problems smoothly. The location was convenient, just a short walk to the town center and with nice amenities like fire pits. The dining was average with some limitations.
I had a fantastic time at the hotel! The rooms were top-notch with a large and comfortable bed, and the spa experience was truly fantastic. The service was beyond friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The location was superb, just a short walk away from the lake area. The dining was good, but some self-service aspects were a bit unexpected. Overall, a delightful stay!
